This Week's Top 5
Say hello to your new spring/summer go-to tank. The Sierra top mixes airy chiffon with soft, buttery Italian suede for the ultimate standard in luxe basics. We love to style it with ripped jeans and a cool sneaker for an elevated daytime look. Christina topped it off with a Janessa Leoné hat (linked below) and Quay shades. Take it into the night with leather leggings and a pair of "for walking" pumps for a bold, clean summer look.
Christina shot this look at one of our all-time favorite gems of Chicago: the Garfield Park Conservatory. With rooms ranging from luscious ferns to arid cacti, it's easy to feel like you're in another world. The conservatory provides abundant inspiration as well as the perfect quiet getaway/nature-fix for us city dwellers.
Save your skin this Summer with one of the season's best accessories. The Janessa Leoné brand of hats are the epitome of understated cool. Handmade in LA, the styles are wearable and chic with just about any look.
Located in Chicago's ecclectic and art-centric Pilsen neighborhood, Frida Room serves up a delcious brunch with a side of art history. The walls are lined with reproductions of some of Frida's famous paintings, as well as many original artowrks by local artists that pay homage to Frida's style and vision.
5. Keith Haring Exhibit at the Chicago Cultural Center
The exhibit features 36 original panels from Keith Haring's "Chicago Mural," which was painted over the course of five days in 1989. Haring worked with 500 Chicago Public Schools students to paint the 488-foot-long mural, which was displayed along the edge of Grant Park. The mural will serve as the centerpiece of an exhibition dedicated to Haring’s distinctive work, which will also include photographs, designs and T-shirts designed by the artist, exploring his recognizable style and connection to Chicago.
